Why blank fields won't allow you to login.

In order for you to sign in to your account, you must supply both the login and PIN assigned to you. For security reasons, we cannot allow you sign in with just the login or just the PIN. If you forgot your PIN, click on the link labeled "Click here if you forgot your PIN" below the form on the sign in page. If you forgot your login, please call citirent.com customer service at
(212) 691-8300.

How to fix blank fields.
  1. In the sign in page, type the correct information in both the Login and PIN fields, then click the Login button.

Why your account wasn't found.

In order for you to sign in to your account, you must supply both the login and PIN assigned to you. When you signed up with citirent.com, you were sent a welcome email with this information. If you believe you are correctly entering this information when you try to sign in, please see the checklist below for possible solutions. If you didn't receive this email, you no longer have this information, or if you forgot your login or PIN, please call citirent.com customer service at (212) 691-8300.

Login and PIN checklist.
  1. Check the case of the Login and PIN. Your Login and PIN are case-sensitive. For example, if you see a lower case "a" in your welcome email, make sure you are typing a lower-case "a" and not an upper-case "A".
  2. Check for spaces. Your Login and PIN don't have any spaces in them. Do not type any spaces in the Login or PIN fields or you will get an error.
  3. Check the spelling. Some characters look similar, for example the number one "1" and the lower-case L "l". Your Login and PIN must be typed exactly as they appear in your welcome email. Even one character different will result in an error.
  4. You cancelled your account. If you clicked on the link in your citirent.com email to remove yourself from our mailing list and you successfully unsubscribed, your account was deleted as noted in the unsubscribe page. You will no longer receive listings emails, but your account will also be deleted and you will no longer be able to sign in to your account.
  5. You don't have an account. Before you can sign in, you need to sign up or call your citirent.com representative at (212) 691-8300 to get an account.

What is a session?

A "session" or "session cookie" is a temporary cookie that is created by a server. It lasts only for a specified amount of time, or when you close the browser, whichever is shorter. The web server uses the session information to communicate with your browser. The session acts as way for the web server to create the experience of information persistence. This means that it can temporarily store information about you, such as your login information, first and last name, email address etc., so you only need to enter that information once for your entire visit to the site. Sessions rely on cookies to work.
